Mostly a question for Jan or anyone in the know. My partner and I are taking a trip to New York for NAB +Post (Nov. 14th-17th.) We're hoping to scope out gear for our new buisiness.
Will there be a working HVX there for us to check out. We're into the IDEA of the camera, but really would love to take it for a spin.

Jan addressed this on a different forum by saying that she didn't know if they would be exhibiting the HVX there yet. I'm sure that if they decide to exhibit, an announcement will be made here.

Panny is pushing this one close. Can't display a camera mid november and putting it up for sale a couple weeks later? Wish I could see those marketing-to-engineering emails *L*

It isn't a matter of cutting it close, it is a matter that the show has not really done the right amount of advertising vs, the cost of being there. WE did Production East there, Javits, it cost us $60,000, we got 100 leads. Now granted this was 2 years ago, but it still hurts to think about it. I will have a full working model in my hands on the 8th of November. From there we start cooking. ;-)
Best,
Jan

hmmm...23 days !
Jan, do you still think the HVX will be available in november ?
8th November.... (in my head I just see the scenen when in "Terminator I" the robots take the power over the world... :) )
Or in a documentary in the far future: "it began on November 8th, 2005 and nobody could imagine yet the impact it would cause..."

Hmmm. I sure hope you're there. One of the reasons I decided to go to the conference was to see the HVX-200 before ordering one.

We were going partly to see the HVX as well. Maybe there will be one on B&H's showroom floor November 14th. I guess we'll be in New York anyway.
