with everyone getting caught up in waiting for the HVX to come out, and tweaking their nipples thinking of dream edit stations and rushing to get in on the Dell 24inch LCD coupon i have to ask who makes a good quality desk/edit station to put all these high tech toys on.
i work for an engineering company making the demo videos for our products and have an HVX on preorder to mate with my dual Xeon, Decklink HD Pro Single link, dual 20" Dell LCD monitor setup and hopefully getting a 23" or 24" LCD monitor for checking HD video. but all of this is on a high top lab bench requiring a lab height chair that is more appropriate for soldering circuit boards than ergonomically editing video content.
any suggestions on edit station/desk manufacturers that wont cost an arm and a leg. it'll be hard to convince my stoic-engineering-cost-reduction-minded boss that i need a new desk for several thousand on top of the $10 we'll be dropping on the HVX.
i also know he's gonna give me dirty looks when i even tell him i want to drop $500+ on a new set of sticks for the HVX. right now we have our Sony VX2000 on top of a decent older Bogen pair but using a friggin head for still cameras!! any recommendations on a new set of sticks & head for the HVX. i'd rather not adjust the legs with the old style knob fasteners.
thanks
