Hi,
I have recently bought a HP ZD8290 Laptop 3.4 GHZ - 1GB Ram - 100GB HDD - 256 MB ATI Graphics - 17" Widescreen

Correct me if i am wrong but i havent seen any Laptop/Powerbook with full support for 1080p yet.
Would my laptop work fine with the higher data rate of DVCPRO-HD offcourse i will have to upgrade the software but as far as hardware goes what do you guys think? the hard drive is only 4200rppm how would this cope with HD? any chance of getting realtime 1080 editing, dont mind rendering at the end of a project. I use Lieca 400GB External HDD for video storage so i hope i wouldnt have to upgrade my Kit when i buy the HVX200.
So will i be able to dump P2 to my Lieca conected to USB2 or firewire? i dont see why not but just wana make sure... how long would it take for a 8GB card?
