What would be good to have as lens adaptors, wide-angles, tele for the HVX. What other types of extras do you see as necessary to complete the package. I for one would like to see a 2X tele available sometime soon after the HVX release. Gotta have some distance!

I should think lens adapters will be pretty pricy for the HVX due to the high resolving power they will need. Also the lens is physically larger than that of an HVX.

I will be considering a Firestore pretty seriously if I get the camera.

An adaptor so the HVX can accept external audio on channel 3 and 4.

Remote zoom/focus/iris controller. BTW, any word on when these will be available?

I'm assuming Century Optics' line of "Pro Video" converters and adapters is what we may be looking at as far as high quality add-on adapters go. Hopefully Panasonic will produce some HVX-specific optics as well. Century may even produce an HVX-specific line as well. The Century Optics' 1.6x tele-converter is available for cameras with 65mm-75mm fronts (what is the HVX filter size again?). Full, 2.0x teleconverters generally aren't made for larger lens diameters for some reason. The nice thing about front-mounted converters and adapters is that there is no light loss.

As far wides go, there are the Century 0.6x non-zoom through adapters and 0.7x zoom-through converters. I might also opt for a diopter set for close-focus stuff beyond the camera's native macro range. I personally will stay with the HVX' stock lens for the wide end of the range--to me, anything wider creates too much barrel distortion.

Would there be anything else you guys would like to see added later?

82mm. Well, I figure Century will just adapt their larger adapters designed for Pro ENG lenses to this camera. Like you said, no light loss, and better res. I think we will immediately see the 1.6 and 0.6, followed by the rest. They usually take a lot more time to study the dynamics of the lens for the wide angle zoom through. But that's what makes them special :)
