Panasonic's other HD format is DVCPRO HD (sometimes called D7-HD or DV100), and is based on the same tape shell used for DVCAM and DVCPRO. It supports 720 60p with 1080i24p in development. It is one of the most lightly compressed formats: it uses 1.67:1 compression. It supports 10-bit per channel and eight channels of audio.
is this information correct or out of date? or does the HVX200 use a new flavor of DVCPRO HD which is 8-bit, 4 channels of audio w/higher compression?
