I just noticed that Barry Green is approaching 10,000 posts, so now I'm really looking forward to seeing his coming out video. After all, this is a rite of passage at DVXuser, and I'm sure Barry doesn't want to break the tradition started by the venerable John H.
So what do you think it will be guys? A gansta rap, maybe?

Actually I think Barry should sit down in front of the camera, sitting in this large leather chair in front of a fire place, light up a pipe, and read the DVX Book by Barry Green cover to cover. Maybe use a British accent.

... actually, I'll have to learn to pace myself better... I was planning on if I did a 10,000 video, it'd be the first professional footage from the HVX200... ;)

Barry can't waste posts on a question like that, he's only got 399 left until the HVX is available... and think of all the other important questions he has to answer - like if the HVX can record HD onto miniDV tape. :evil:

I'll take this one since Barry's posts are limited before the 10K.
First tyou unravel all the tape in the minidv casette. Then with a sharpie, you write the letter A every 2/3rds of an inch (to convert back to regular 24p you write a P every 1/3 of an inch). Now just spool the tape back into the casette and you are good to go!

Oh as for that, if your looking through the viewfinder and the aperture is all the way open and you're seeing black, then you probably have the wrong eye closed. This happens all the time and I'm not sure why Barry left it out of the manual.
If however BOTH the viewfiender and the LCD show all black (and the iris is all the way open), then it probably has to do with the neighborhood or area of town you are filming in. :)

I knew i had my proper eye open in the viewfinder...and it couldnt be the lens...and wats a lens cap? that black thing on the front of my lens?...ahhh w.e..its prolly nuttin...ill leave it there to protect my lens from getting dirttyy..Thanks JDanStan Green...!! WOOPIEE!!

Sixty posts a day? No... can't be... here, let me do the math... it's more like 12 per day. Now, at 12 per day, I'm at 9614 now, so I've got 386 to go, divided by 12 -- that's 32 days to go. Sheesh, we got PLENTY of time! :)
