I have a huge Swiss Army backpack with 5 zippered pockets that get smaller and smaller.

You could probably line the largest pocket with bubble wrap to accommodate the DVX200 but what do you do with microphones/boom pole, 2 x 100 ft of XLR cable, connectors, lights, tripods, duct tape, step stool. etc ?

I have a nice Kata bag that Panasonic gave me with my AG AC160. I bought a large Stanley work chest on wheels that works quite well.

No problems dragging this around for local/regional appearances but for flying seems to me you quickly get to very robust/large crates.

I bought an ORCA 0R-24. Good solid backpack.

I use the Portabrace DV0-2R bags. I can pretty much shoot a news story, documentary or interview right out of this bag. Here is what it will hold:

DVX200
Power Supply
Panasonic AG-MC200G Shotgun
2 Chargers
Spare Battery
EVF Hood
25' XLR Cable
Electro Voice RE50 Hand Mic
Sony ECM Lav Mic
HDMI Cables
External Hard Drive
Flashlight
Wireless Receiver
Wireless Plug
LED Camera Light
Tape and various clips

If I could fit my boom pole in the bag it would be in there also but lays nicely across the top of the bag while you are carrying it. With this bag in one hand and a light kit in the other, I can't think of anything else you would need except an external monitor but I suspect that if I took mine out of its separate case, It would fit in here also.

It's really a personal preference but I hate making multiple trips back my vehicle to grab something that could have been in the bag.

I'm using the LowePro Pro Runner 450 AW for my DVX. If you minimize the gear on the lid of the bag it fits well and I can still use it as a carry on.
