Not bad at all. I noticed some CA and a bit of grain on stills, but the image is sharp. Footage looks good, even with the vignetting. What's causing it? Also, there is some weird strobing going on, best seen on the bushes behind the skater. Might be compression, though.
Sooo, we want details. What's inside? What did you use for GG and how does it move? Using condenser or not? What macro? Everything :cheesy:
Oh and what is up with that baseplate? It's freaking HUGE! Looks like it might hurt somebody hehe
Anyway, good job on that, you saved yourself some 500-800$

One last thing... NEVER EVER use .bmp

P.S. And welcome to the boards :)

Well it is static.
For the groundglass i used a Beattie focusing screen. I believe the little bit of vig you see (in the bottom left?) is from me just not zooming enough. After watching the footage on tv im actually really pleased with the outcome...
Thanks for the welcome..

Hey Pete,

I dug your video. I watched 5 times and really liked the music and the vibe. I also watched the other video's on your site. Something your approach pointed out to me is that these were brief moments of performance art. I think the selected field of focus emphasized that. Good job.

Sorry, some how i missed that line hah, but i didn't have to use a condensor since the focusing screen is already a fresnel, and i use these pretty cheap macros i got from ritz that come in a pack of 3. There Quantaray macros (pretty much like everything else at ritz, ha), and they together equal up to +7.

I haven't inilned in so long, but watching these video combined with the lensadapter brought it all back.

I want the track as well, I have heard it in a few videos back in the day.

The GL2 footage is impressive and its probably easier to hand held then the dvx, never used one though.

I want to go grab a new pair of remedies and start up again but all my friends have stopped becuase there is no money in it anymore. Have you ever heard of Sean Hoyt? He's Boston local.

Love the site. I'm gonna link to it in my tiny forum.

Alright, as for the item/price list il do my best to remember:

project box from radio shack = around 5 bucks
beattie focusing screen = 60 bucks from bhphoto.com (but i just noticed some cheaper options, check em out if your interested...HERE (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?ci=2870&sb=ps&pn=1&sq=desc&InitialSearch=yes&O=SearchBar&A=search&Q=*&bhs=t&shs=beattie&image.x=0&image.y=0))
all the rails and plexy glass for the support = around 20-25
auto sears/sekor sx 55mm f1.4 = 30
quantaray macros = 30
and the rest was stuff around the house really.

So the whole thing together was about 145 to 150 bucks...

The song from the Tim Phang section was "The Truth (feat. Roisin of Moloko & J-Live)" by Handsome Boy Modeling School, and the album was SO...How's your Girl. Altough i highly recommend their album "White People".

Hey esco, its cool that you skated (i assume you had the first remz?), and yeah, Sean Hoyt, i have deffinetly heard of him. I think he has a few clips in The Travelor?

Lassie?

Yeah when I skated they weren't even called remz. Is Zamora still on Esco Zoo? Remz look tek right now, $300 is a little steap.

Where do you film? Do you travel with a crew? All my friends film skateboarders, guess its easier to do these days.

Yeah as far as i know Zamora is still in esco, although i haven't seen much of him lately. I mostly film/skate in Washington dc, but sometimes i get a few friends together and wel go somewhere else. For skating and filming ive been to Philly, NY, Nashville, Atlanta, and probably more i can't think of right now. Yeah, skateboarders are all over the place these days, theres a lot of money in their industry, and unfortunelty for us rollers, theres not. So its really hard to get any kind of budget to do anything really...

The indoor shots look great. I had to stop down my lens to f2.8 to from f1.4 to avoid the hotspot. Have you experienced similar?
