I'm new to the forum so I hope I'm posting correctly here...
I've purchased the DVX200 and in the manual it says in the section "What you can do with this camera"
Recording at a variable frame rate of up to 120 fps (for FHD) is possible.
I can't see anywhere where I can set this up. Can anyone give me some advice as I'd love to shoot some slow motion.
Thanks

Be sure to download your free copy of "The DVX200 Book"

For a direct answer, you have to set the camera in 1080p FHD mode in the System Mode menu. Then go into the Scene File menu and turn VFR to ON, and set your Frame Rate to 120.

If you want the slowest possible slow motion, set the camera to 1080/23.98P FHD.

I have tried to download a copy of your book several times but have not been able to do so. I would sincerely love to have it available. The Panasonic representative who came my studio sold me on the camera and I think it's great. However, parts are still confusing.
I got the link to the download after I signed up but the PDF file I downloaded had 0 bytes. The representative (Wes Carr) from Panasonic hasn't been able to download it either. Maybe you can help me obtain it. I'd love that.

I went out shooting this morning of some surf using your answer to the slow motion and it worked great although I still have questions. Maybe when I get your download I can better figure it out.

My wife Sarah and I film a national PBS television series "Painting and Travel with Roger and Sarah Bansemer" We're starting our 9th season. If you're curious, you can see what we do at www.paintingandtravel.com
I use Sony Vegas for my editing. I'm tired of people telling me to use a different editing system but Vegas works great for me and I couldn't possibly think about any new learning curves.
Sure appreciate you being on this forum to help.
Sincerely,
Roger
