A few weeks back someone else posted stills from there trip to the zoo. I love going to the zoo. Sunday my wife and I took our 8 month old to the LA County Zoo. It was like 100 degrees and the animals weren't doing too much. The monkeys were the most active. In any event I thought it would be cool to bring my DVX.

Where's the 8 month old? It's the kids that always kill me!!

BTW -- what was the last shot?

I like the shots, I just wish there was more light (especially highlights) on the monkeys.

Maybe next time your wife can carry a portable reflector. :)

A lot of people here in Los Angeles have DVXs. I used to have an XL1 and that made people stare. THats what I love about the DVX. Its a bit more like a regular camera.

The baby was keeping cool in his stroller rigged with 2 fans.

The cave looking thing was some underground dweller exibit. Nice and cool in there.

I am in the process of building a portable 12'x12' reflector for my wife to wear on her back.

Waaaaaahhooooooo -- Love the baby! "My day to yell!"

However, in these temperatures, I'd stick the DVX under the fans and let the baby fend for itself.

No I wouldn't.
