Sort of reminds me of a school trip where kids who want to be professional baseball players are taken to see how a game is played and to see if they can learn anything about the game. Problem is all they are concerned about is how many stitches are on the brim of the players caps, if the bats say Louisville Slugger, and if the cleats they are wearing are metal or plastic. :)

Is it just me or do you seem like a jaded has-been on almost every comment you make Walter? Everything comes to an end eventually:) Sad.
The cameras we use at partners films are called Arri and as far as being concerned about footage, I already own a xl2 I use for fun and am just curious. No offence but judging from your website, you may want to get yourself out to a game and see how the pros do it.:)

Lol... I'm just gonna let you leave that at that, smile, and walk away. :-P
As far as my own reply goes, I want you to know I wasn't trying to be sarcastic or critical; just that if footage DID exist, you can rest assured that there would already be a 43-page topic at the top of the forums waiting for you to peruse. :)

Of course I am jaded. Two decades in the business will do that to you. I still think it's a great analogy for many of the discussion on the prosumer boards. If folks want to be filmmakers they ought to talk more about filmmaking, not about how to shine chrome. Thanks for your concern.

Your camera has chrome on it???
Is that an add on?
Where can I get it?
Can you upload some pics?
Hmmm...chrome..... no wonder all my movies suck so far.
I didn't have chrome.
:)
ps.
couldn't agree more Walter.

I will agree more substance and less flash would be a great thing here. Particularly the subject of lighting should be on a lot of peoples to do lists. Lack of lighting knowledge shows up on a lot of the footage here. Let's drink more beer and call it a day:)..and by the way..I get a lot of insight from your jadedness and your experience. thanks.
