I'm looking to get a Canon 20D and I'm trying to get the reliability of B&H, but maybe a lower price than $1,300.

I've been looking at some online stores, but I don't know if I can trust them. There are a lot of bogus camera shops out there (especially the ones in Brooklyn), so I'm being very careful.

Should I just suck it up and pay the $1,300 or do you guys know of a reputable spot I can check out?

Going with a less known or reliable place is a gamble.. just may end up costing more in the end though pain and hastle. I personally order just about everything from B&H. Never had a problem with them.

Not cheaper but you don't have to may a dime for 3 months and than just make payments using bill me later:

Yeah, but do you still want to be paying for your 20d when the next line of prosumer Canon SLR's come out?

I'm going to pick up a 20d from someone who is getting rid of theirs to buy a 5d.

The 5D is pretty hot, but out of my price range, especially since the HVX is in my sights. I think the 20D is good enough for what I need.

A friend of mine bought his online for about $1000 and is very happy with it. I'll see if I can get that same price. If not then off to B&H I go, like I usually do.

I just bought stuff from Roberts Camera. Really good service. Ask for Dawn.

They want almost $1,500 for the camera. That's taking me in the wrong direction.

Thanks though.

You can get the body for 1274 at dell/home/homeoffice, 1359 with 18/55 zoom.

If you don't shoot every day the Rebel is a good bet, then invest in better glass.

BH, Dell, Onecall good outfits.
