We have a shot in our short film with a clear view of my van's license plate. Is there any reason to worry about this? Should I pixilate it or blur it? I can do this but it takes away from the shot.

Any ideas?

Is there your name or company name on it? if not, I cannot see any problem.

lol what kind of audience would see it? Most likely you're not going to have an issue...

I really wouldn't worry about it.

If it is your plate on your vehicle, then sign a release and give yourself the right to show the plate in your movie.

Sounds like something that would happen in congress. Your tax dollars at work!

Almost. The proper way for it to be done in that instance would be first to go on a junket to other places (maybe starting in the Bahamas) to see how it is handled elsewhere.
