Hi Everyone!

Sometimes here I see that somebody has mentioned about they did some clip editing job for customers.
I am almost new here, therefore it's interesting for me how you guys are getting such orders? I am personally interesting first of all to get some additional experience in edit, and also to be "known" :)
If some one can share their secret how to get it?

Usually when I'm stuck in traffic, I marvel at those large cranes used in building highways. I think to myself, "how did someone get into THAT business?" One of those big cranes costs a whole lot more than a 35mm motion picture camera. Yet, the guy who owns that crane is able to make his mortgage payments on time every month, so apparently it's worth having around. Why not be fascinated with all the other businesses in the world? Why film editing? It's easy to become an editor. Try becoming the proprietor of a successful highway construction business if you want to learn what "hard" is all about.

Step one: Buy a computer and software that is commonly used (Avid, FCP, and so forth.)

Step two: Edit stuff.

Step three: Your dad owns a film company.

Note: You can skip steps one and two if you have step three.
