I just posted this in the lighting forum, but reckon it's more suited here...

I was just let in on BBS Lighting showing some new products at NAB 2015. One of those will be light to rival the single Kino Flo tubes or Ice Light. Varying in length (I recall 60, 90 and 120cm) and have high light output with remote phosphor tech, so you can count on the CRI (TLCI) being very high.
If they are anything like the Area 48 Soft lights, I would also expect a high end build of the product... that's what I love about western produced tech, it's just that much more durable than things coming out of india or China.

The most interesting thing would be something you could just whack in old fixtures and get a 400% increase in brightness..

Yes... that would indeed be a nice offering :D

Lights are up on their own website.... in regards to TLCI, the partner I spoke to himself, was pretty litteral that they had the Pipelines' measured to rest at 98 TLCI for daylight and 99 TLCI for tungsten.

I haven't been able to find any.... Prokit.co.uk simply write call for pricing. Be it BBS Lighting, I would expect it to be a bit pricey, but who knows, maybe I'll be surprised :)

If the build quality is anything like Area 48 Soft it will be great.
