Hi everyone,
I too am a new owner of a DVX and am looking to get the proper advice in order to purchase the right accessories. I tried my best to do my homework before making this post but I was unsuccessful finding information. I don't have a big budget either but I'd like to get a good mic without spending a lot (just like everyone else :-)). With that said has anyone heard any inforamtion on this mic known as the SGM1 made by Professional Sound Corporation? There's a cool kit being sold with this mic on B&H for $299 but I think it's relatively new. I was hoping maybe one of you sound guys are familiar with the brand.
Here's a couple of links:

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=productlist&A=details&Q=&sku=396526&is=REG&addedTroughType=categoryNavigation
Then I'm wondering if I'm already spending that much if I should just go with either the Audio Technica AT897 or screw it all together and get a Schriber Acoustic SA-568 from EVS for $120. I'm no audio guy and if I ever make a big production will be sure to hire a professional, I just need a mic to record aight sound. Sorry for being longwinded but any input would greatly be appreciated. Thanks.
