So I got my Micro 35/M2 today and started to set it up...
Here's what's in the box folks...
Doing some initials tests, think it got bumped in shipping; but the micro 35 guys are quickly helping me solve the problem. Well made...good job, Jamie and Brian.
Will post video once, issue with GG resolved.
Click the pix to make'em Big. Shot with my treo 600...sorry.

Cool man,
so you already had a prime lens ready to go on it?
what was the cost? I may be getting one myself when they put it out for the HVX200 that I have on order.
I'm not sure which lenses to get for it though. I don't own any at the moment and will have limited funds. open to suggestions

I bought a couple of Nikon lenses a 50 1.4 and a 24 2.
The lenses were amazing cheap $100 each Cdn.
The micro35/M2 cost $850 USD.
Trying to solve a focus issue at infinity, but aside from that it is really well built, and solid.
....and filmic, now to lose the 1080i feel....

Good price, I heard they go for about grand.
Once my dvx arrives, I'm going to be getting a lens. still debating on weather to get the guerilla, or micro :-/
Make sure to post up some videos once you shoot, good luck!

The Sept issue of Studio Monthly had a short article on the M2 (thought I had an exclusive here) and stated the price at $500 USD, hmmm. Can't wait to hear/read more about this device!
Best,

I have to use every bit of my will not to buy one of these $850 packages, especially since I have access to almost any SLR lens I may need.

Also the micro guys are in your neck of the woods too, maybe hookup and take one for a test drive.

I was looking through ebay and came across this item:

I have some old canon SLR lenses, but hear that nikon is the way to go. If I get the micro35 with a canon mount, and then add this device to the end of it, can I use nikon lenses?!?!

Buy the Nikon mount for the M2 as well. Then you can remove the Canon mount when you've replaced your Canon lenses and attach the Nikon mount. IIRC, all you need to do is remove four screws.

The reason Nikon FD mount lenses are prefererable to Canon EOS is because the EOS lens iris is only adjustable electronically. This means you need to have an EOS camera along with you to do a little trick to set the iris before you mount it on the M2.
Also, the Nikon primes are cheap and plentiful :)

I had sent my payment in way in the beginning, so thst won't really indicate time, as they had a few bumps in the first round of production.
I believe they they are now able to deliver in 4 weeks from recieving payment.
I do know it is longer for the the pro version that takes Arri, and Lomo lenses.
