Hi I recenty have bought an Eclair ACL 1 in ebay ( I saw eclairs acl 2 and npr but they were expensive for my budget) . The camera has the 24 - 25 cystal sync motor and 200 ft. magazines. I´m thinking to buy a heavy duty motor, that can works with 400 ft. magazines and (if it is possible) run at variable frame rate.

Someone knows if there are heavy dutty motors for this camera? any web or link?

thanks a lot

Hi,

I'm not an ACL expert by any stretch, but I know there is a larger motor that works with the 400 foot magazines. Try visualproducts.com - they sell ACLs and they may be able to sell you a motor or at least point you in the right direction. Hope this helps.

I believe TobinCinemaSystems.com developed a heavy-duty motor for the ACL, but it's been years since I heard about it so I don't know the current status...
