Hi guys, we are looking for a new 4k camera in order to start shooting stock in 4k instead of HD for Videvo. I'd love some input from you guys as to which way we should lean!

We don't want to spend tens of thousands of dollars, so cost-effective solutions will be gladly accepted.

Blackmagic Production Camera - ergonomics are bad, it's annoying to take on location sometimes
GH4 - Not enough testing yet to be sure, bad in low light
Sony FS700 - seems to be a good choice, has slowmo

We already have a variety of top level canon class.

I'd love to hear your thoughts!

FS700 with 7Q sounds great for that application, especially the high frame rate stuff or the new AJA Cion might be a good bet if you already have some accessories. What are your output requirements besides 4K - 4:2:2?

Yes I think you might be right about the FS700, will look at the AJA Cion now. Just needs to be usable 4k, 4:2:2 is fine.

The new Sony A7S will output 8bit 422 4k, and has pretty awesome low light capabilities. You can also apply SLog2 to the 4k output, which would be handy for people wanting to modify the footage to their own specs. And since it uses an e-mount, you can put damn near any lens you want on it with the right adapter, and Metabones makes speedboosters for it.

I'm looking for a balance between cost and quality, ideally less than 10k. Interesting about the A7s, i'll look into it now - thanks :)
