I opened an edition in quick time reference in pal (from Avid xpress pro) in canopus procoder to compress in DVD NTSC, but the final compression has low quality and some horizontal lines. Somebody knows if I can make a good dvd compression in canopus procoder?

Procoder has a very good reputation for speed and quality. Double check your settings. Transcoding from PAL to NTSC could be contributing to the problem - but you should be able to get pretty darn good results.

Procoder has been good to me. Make sure your quality is mastering and set the bit rate to VBR 8500. You file that you are encoding needs to be clean so check that too. Render that out uncompressed before going to Procoder.
