I shot a wedding on Super8 for a friend and am looking to have the footage put onto MiniDV so I can digitize and edit it for them. Do any of you know of a place I could send my undeveloped film for development and transfer? Thanks!

Kodak keeps a database with a list of labs and dealers.

You can check it out here:

Wow! That's brave - shoot a wedding on Super 8 (http://www.super8today.com/index.htm) before you even have development and transfer lined up?

I second that... Film and video services has never let me down, and they're much cheaper than anyone in New York. 612.789.8622

I just learned about this place, Home Movie Depot (http://www.homemoviedepot.com/free_sample.php). I don't know how good they are, but they do offer to transfer one 50ft roll of film for free - so you can check out their quality.

ummm... maybe this is gonna sound cheap, but? couldnt you just focus the projector as close to a white piece of paper aspossible ( so its bright) then just shoot it with the DVX in 60i????? isnt that technichally telecine? i mean they did that in my freinds college and it looked pretty good. infact they had a DVX permanetly mounted just to trandsfer 16 and 8 to DV.

and if you're in the south pacific, or, don't mind waiting and sending it by airmail...

Used him a couple of times, and he's actually been used by Weta Studio for other commercial work. Really nice crazy french man.
