http://www.engadget.com/entry/1234000383055417/Cool stuff! I've been debating whether to mortgage the house to get 1Ds mark II, but really, full frame is a much bigger deal for me than the extra resolution (I've got some nice wide angle glass).
Now the dilemma will be: HVX200 :undecided 5D under the Christmas tree?
Shoot i'm actually considering selling my 1Ds for one of these and some new lenses to go with it. Time will tell the other specs though (metering, ruggedness, battery life, fps, etc)

I read that it actually shoots Less FPS in burst mode than the 20D? I wonder why that is? Due to Full Frame sensor pushing more data to the memory card I guess.

I don't know why they'd handicap it on purpose.. the 20D, 1Ds etc line can do it, why can't this?

And that's how they can keep selling cameras. I'm sure in a year or two they will have a full frame camera that can do 9fps. At least I hope so.
They have it. It's the 1D Mark II N.
8.5 fps for up to a 48 frame burst.

The Mark II N is not full-frame - 28.7 x 19.1 mm CMOS
1.3x FOV crop

love it !!! one of the best camera i have ever used other than 1 series from canon, F5 film is also good from nikon but the nikon lens is not as sharp as canon
Ah, the age old Nikon vs. Canon lens debate...I won't touch that one with a ten foot pole. I'm happy with my lenses though...
