Yes, I think Saturday Night Live, and/or MTV should consider the following production for airing. It is only 2.5 minutes long and all original.

This was made with nothing but the two of us, 1 GL2 cam, and 2 other actors. Filmed in 6 hours, and edited in 5. The music is original, written/played/sang by Chris Commisso www.chriscommisso.com (http://www.chriscommisso.com/) (who also plays the part of the lead singer). I am the "boyfriend" in the video. Enjoy!

This music video that we made in two days, all original music and creation, is set and ready for Saturday Night Live and/or MTV. IT'S ONLY 2.5 MINUTES LONG, SO DON'T MISS IT!! Check it out...but first some basic facts:

1.) The music and lyrics were written and played/sung by Chris Commisso www.chriscommisso.com who also plays the part in the music video of the singer.

2.) The editing and filming were done by Chris and I, and I play the part of the "boyfriend" in the video.

3.) All editing was done in LE 6.1. The only camera used was a GL2.

Well, that's it. Here it is:

Now why are you posting this inthe DIY thread man?

Feel free not to make multiple/cross posts please. I'm going to merge this into the original which was put in the dvxclips thread as it was....

Jeez. Come on kids.

Sorry! Someone had given me the name of both locations, separately, as if they were two different sites. I didn't realize I was posting to the same website. My bad! :(

Thanks for taking the time to watch it, and for your generous comments! BTW, I love your website and it looks like you are quite the entertainer. Great job!

pelsass - You obviously haven't watched SNL lately. That video is WAY TOO FUNNY for SNL.
I'm afraid SNL jumped the shark before Phil Hartman died.

Paul,
I'm flattered beyond belief. LOL. Thanks for your nice comments. Feel free to check out my first HP try that no one has commented on. :) Probably cause it half way sucks. (http://www.blsmagic.com/random.html) I should be posting more video soon. I've got a couple of random videos so I might post them today. Thanks again.

Just curious if anyone ever says anything negative about stuff posted on here? I mean, how are we to become better at our craft if nobody has the balls to seriously critique the posts? I have yet to post anything, but I hope when I do that people will honestly critique it.

I have read some of your posts, John, albeit not all 12,000+ of them. So yeah, there are a few of us who are honest and really critique the stuff on here, but then there are more than enough "yes men" on here as well. If I didn't dig the majority of the stuff on here, I wouldn't check in several times a day. And John, when I do finally post something I've shot, I hope you do your worst. What an honor it would be.

Yes, but this one is funny. I showed my kids. Big mistake. Now they sing it and make up all kinds of sh!t to go along with this 'ripe' piece of comedy.

Lorne Micheals really should look at this for SNL.

Are you Serious!? Have you ever even seen saturday night live? I mean, first of all, they do they're own material. When has SNL ever accepted any submitted material? And if they ever do, it would most certainly be Broadcast Quality. I bet the vector scopes and waveform monitors go apeshit with this video. I just don't see the connection between SNL and a "funny video" by an amateur, no offense.

Some funny stuff, but got kind of old as it just dealt with one main thing ... not flushing. I loved the shot of him trying to plung the toilet (before it went slow mo), where she spit her toenail at the camera lense, etc.

Not SNL material, but still some good moments ... I'm not the best at critiques ... just seems to get old after a while of hearing the same chorus over & over.

False hopes aren't going to help him make better movies.

But it is SNL material... given that SNL sucks nowadays. As "Y-Gen" as it sounds, I only liked it with Ferrell and Kattan. And it was barely funny then.

I'd give it a 4 out of 10. Good song, too repeatitious though. Had it been shorter I would have given it a 6. But if this is your early work you did a REAL good job for a beginner.

SNL material? Maybe. But I don't work for the show so I can't vouch for them. As a rare viewer (because SNL is garbage for the most part except for the bands) I think it would make it.

I can't remember ever seeing a "funny" music video on SNL.
Besides this isn't really their style of humor.
It's not topical or playing off pop culture in any way.
Sorry to say that I don't think this is SNL material at all, and I'm pretty suprised that other people seem to think it is.

And I have to agree, it's way to redundant and probably could have been shortened.
(then again everything on SNL goes on way too long too)

Himmm, not sure what to say either.
