Hey all. I remember reading a while back that the new HDV Powerpack for DV Rack upgraded the quality of the field monitor. It was unsure whether this would be offered in a free update for regular DV Rack users, or whether we would have to pay money to upgrade simply for the monitor. Just checking to see if anyone here knows about it....Thanks

A free patch that includes the full-res Field Monitor is in my QA queue. I'm dying to get it released, but the bad news is that I have several other products in line ahead of it. The good news: one of the higher priorities is clearing a new trial version based on the HDV PowerPak code--that means you'll be able to get the full-res field monitor (and HDV support to boot) through the free, fully functional trial to tide you over until the update for your purchased version is available. With any luck at all, that trial version should be available by the middle of next week.
Sorry for posting an update earlier. It crossed my mind several times but never translated into discernable action.
edited to add: By full-res, I mean that all the pixels are available for viewing--as you zoom in, the image gets higher def, as opposed to zooming in on a down-resed image like it did before. The actual dimensions of the field monitor are the same as before: 512x384. It's *possible* that we'll add a 720x480 monitor to the next major release. In the meantime, I hope to get a hotkey added for zooming to 1:1 pixel display.
