Anyone from the Gulf Coast Area - Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida - interested in getting together occasionally?

I'm in New Orleans
I thought the call for Gulf Coast shooters was pretty funny. It's a LONG coastline from Naples, FL to Brownsville, TX.

Well, maybe I should have said - Gulf Coast Area: South Eastern Louisiana, South Mississippi, South Alabama, and North West Florida ... but that seemed a bit long-winded. I just figured there might be a few people that might like to get together a few times a year to have some DVX fun over a weekend. I know the hubby and I wouldn't mind spending a weekend in Florida or Louisiana to meet others of the same interest (and a nice, inexpensive motel get-away would be fun for us anyway  ). I know its sort of a far-flung area, but .... :)
Anyone really interested??

I would certainky be interested in New Orleans.
Road trips are a bit of an ordeal since my GF and I drive a scooter. (I have $10K of gear including the camera and a $1500 primary vehicle - usually the other way around, LOL).
Renting a car isn't out of the question however.
Where are you BTW?

We are in Mississippi - about 100 miles from N.O. In fact, we go to NOLA for weekends quite often, so New Orleans would be good for us. (Good for you on the scooter!) We are also up for Florida for meeting others! Or if anyone wants to come to our area, there's some really nice, cheap motels ... and nice casinos really close!
Ohhhhh, you mean Nawleens to tallyhassey...
:) I would come to casino-land with a 6-8 weeks notice.
I love craps.   :thumbdown  :lipsrseal

Youse sounds lak youse from da south, galt! Anytime you want to give us 6 to 8 weeks notice, do it and come on across ... up ... around.
Too bad my dad has passed on. He loved craps, too - learned in the Navy. One night he kept the dice almost 45 minutes! I still think he had a telekinetic connection to those dam dice! Too bad he didn't pass it down to me! (I'm one of those BIG wheeler-dealers ... I play nickle slots!)
It sure would be nice to get together with some folks occasionally who understand the difference between a DVX and the DQ! :)

Sounds like New Orleans -- or Noirleans (http://www.dvxuser.com/V3/showthread.php?t=31255) -- is shaping up as a destination! That's great for me, would love to help arrange things in the "host" city as necessary. We "might" get a car, so if that happens, could transport to and from airport, but again that's a maybe. Why am I putting so many "quotation marks" around everything?

"Nawlens" is always AOK by us! And since we live close enough to drive over you wouldn't even have to worry about the airport. We could easily meet somewhere (Cafe DuMond) and sit (Cafe DuMond) and chat (Cafe DuMond) and get to know each other. Can you suggest anywhere???? :) We will be tied up doing some shooting over the next few weekends, but maybe toward the end of the month or early September (barring any major storms, of course).
