View Full Version : GoPro 120fps footage and Twixtor: Is 120fps x4 slower?

Hey guys,

This is kind of an obvious question, but seeming as I'm math challenged hoping that those of you with more brain power can help.

I have GoPro 120fps footage that I've conformed, I need to speed it back up to real time speed with Twixtor and then speed ramp it back down....I'm having a hard time looking at the footage and being able to tell if it's the right speed.

So do I need to speed it back up x4? (Which on Twixtor would be a speed setting of 400)

Cheers for the help....

Depends on your timeline. Are you editing in 24p? 30p? 60p? If you're on a 24p timeline, the 120fps stuff is 5x slower. If you're on a 30p timeline, it's 4x slower, and if you're on a 60p timeline it's 2x slower.

Ah yes, true...it's a 30p timeline. So at 4x slower I would need to set Twixtor to 400 to get it back to real speed....
