I need to burn a DVDvideo that is mostly going to be played on computers. Do I burn it in 16-235 or in 0-256 ??
If I burn it in 16-235 will all the computers that's going to be played upon stretch the video levels to RGB levels?
I'm authoring with Encore CS5.1

I mean do I even have a choice? Encore expects 16-235 levels right? So this means that no matter what levels the incoming material has it'll hard clip anything that's below or under safe levels? Does the computer - when playing DVDvideo - recognise video levels and does it stretches the levels to RGB?

Thx

0-256

So I bring the material into Encore with 0-256 levels? Will this then get clipped when playing on TVs via DVD players?
I just did a test on my workstation with different levels and you're right - I have to burn with 0-256, but what about DVD players?

The only time setup should be added is when going to an analog source like old fashion Beta sp decks.

And broadcast. 16-235 that is. What do you call set-up actually?
