That was all done in availiable light. It was a terrific shoot, even if it was handlheld, and out of focus sometimes (I'm still mastering my camera skills), the interview went great!

PS: if those were still taken from my still film camera, scanned at this resolution, they wouldn't look much different. You gotta love the DVX...

I forgot to ask - what's the doc about?

Nice stuff. It's amazing what you can do without dragging lights with you.

Those are some rich and full looking images...nice that you can get decent-looking stuff without such a huge production all of the time. Can you post clips?

Thanks guys, nice to hear from y'all.
The Doc is about that artist's creative process, it's part of a series I am doing with several brazilian contemporary artists that take part in a program for art/education. It's being a great experience. I still have nothing edited yet, I just shot yesterday, and, quite franquly, it will be some time until I get this thing straighten out (I still have to edit the last artist's piece...). Will gladly post something as soon as I have!

Beautiful shots. The woman looks like she has a story to tell. Seriously, you can see it in her eyes. Great stuff and good luck!

Beautiful composition. Framing and lighting included. Scene balanced nicely to be intimate while also not being intrusive.
Very nicely done! I'd like to know around what time of day it was shot. How long you shot there for. What equipment (extra glass) you used if you did.
Did you have a field monitor to know you were getting such beautiful lighting?
