Originally they are based in Auckland New Zealand. But they have an address in London as well. My dvx came from Auckland, a vinten tripod from London.
I did some research on the guys behind GMP. A Russian guy named Igor Petchorine is behind it. His wife Rita is involved as well. Another Russian (friend?) is the contactperson in London. It all looks like a one man band. No big organization. An email of them is always from: the 'sales team'...
I had no problem until my dvx broke down (only 6 months after buying it). From that moment on everything from their side was focused on not paying the costs of the repair. If you are interested I can send you this email exchange to judge for yourself.
My advise: If you are interested in real sharp prices it's ok, but from then on you are on your own. Now problem if you are prepared to take some risk. But if you don't like Russian roulette, find an official dealer.

That is odd with the DVX, I would have thought Panasonic should pay the bill. They are still responsible as your vendor though. Maybe it is a grey import and lacks warranty. THat would leave them to pay the repair costs.

yes.. grey market cameras you gotta find someone else to fix your camera, cause as soon as grey market cameras leave the panasonic warehouse thats the last time they are responsible for anything that happens to it.
