After about 3-4 tries I finally got my 60 second trailer to look nice and clean and ready to be uploaded to the net. I am using www.customflix.com to sell my DVD. I can upload my trailer to their site (my page) so people can watch it before they buy. My compressed footage is 17.7MB and they have a 2.5MB limit!
So what must I do to get it down to 2.5?

What size is the trailer? (320 x 240?)
You can use Sorenson 3 & QMusic for the sound but that may still push 3mb for 60 seconds.
You coudl also try the QT 7 compressor but users have to have QT 7 to use it.

I am using a size of 240x180
I used Sorenson Video3 and Qmusic for the audio. So I am not sure what to do at this rate.

A few things to try:
Set lowest quality for sound and video. That will cut it to 1/4 size but obvious it's not as nice looking.
Set frame rate to 15 fps. This will cut it in half.
Try MPEG4. Same issues as above.
Create a 30 second trailer.
Download some of the trailers that others have posted and do a get info, format (for video and sound tracks) within QT Player. That may tell you a lot about what others are using that work. Check file size, length of trailer and frame rate as well.
Note that some codecs such as Sorenson have a pro compressor that needs be purchased to get the best quality/compression combo.
