HD100 12 3/8 inches Deep (long)?

JVC specs show this unit as 12 3/8 inches long. No way this can be accurate. Maybe without the lens. Anyone have an idea how really long this thing is?

It's small. I'm guessing that is without the lens, but for total length, that depends on what lens you are using.

This is a composite, not an actual side-by-side. I believe this size comparison is fairly accurate.

Better download the brochure from the JVC website (the is a drawing in it with all the exact measurements). With the standardlens it's about 45 cm ( ~= 17,7 inch) long - that isn't counting the battery that sticks out at the end...
