Wow, I mean JVC as a brand seems to be severely under-represented on DVX USER, right? What that is, I wonder?

I am looking at a couple of their late model and upcoming pro-line models, as well as a couple of their soon to come out high-end prosumer models, like Procision GC-PX100.

I heard that they used to have a "bad reputation" for something or the other -- does that stigma still hold and is it somehow valid? There must be a reason why they are less represented here than the other brands.

I have also looked into Panasonic pro-lbne camcorders, but now I am looking to get one or 2 JVCs, or else a Canon XF-series camcorders, or the Canon EOS Cinema C100, or the Nikon 1-series V2 with the 10-100mm servo zoom video lens.

Before I buy something I read reviews and comments from those who own the product. In the past when I've looked at JVC cameras and read user comments I've really been turned off by comments re image quality and product support. However, last year I bought a 3D JVC camera and have been very happy with the output from it on my 50" display. I wish it had more manual control but that's really the only thing I have to bitch about. It's really a nice camera and I would consider buying another JVC product.
