**figured I'd post this here in the clips section as well**

Hey all,

I just did the 48 hour film competition in NYC this past weekend and it was a blast. My team got Mockumentary as the genre and we had to use the character A. Simon, a Matre'D, in it along with the line "Did you hear what I said?" We just viewed the rest of the 26 NYC teams a couple days ago and I feel my team has a very strong chance of winning this. Let me know what you guys thinks ... I was the DP and Editor ... I shot it with the XL2 and did all the editing and color correction in Final Cut Pro HD.

Since Panasonic is one of the major sponsors of this festival, if we win for New York, we get a chance to compete in the final HD showdown in January where we get to shoot on the HVX200 :-)

UPDATE: We just won the Audience award for the NYC Competition ... go me!!!! :-P

Now awaits the judging on who wins NYC and who gets to go to the HD Filmmaker's showdown in California.

Hey
I really liked it. Here are some of my comments.
I really like the shot of Tony Pants, the lighting and composition of the shot were great.
Im not sure if it was the compression or what but I felt like I saw a glow during most of it. Might be because I have been staring at the screen for a while.
I liked the part where the guy said Snip Snipsa.
I thought the composition for the interviews were great except when it came to the ex girlfriend. She was right in the middle of the screen and looking slightly up when she was talking, like the interviewer was standing over her.
This was really well put together and for 48 hours it is superb. The whole thing was great. Keep up the good work.

wow, 48 hours? I pulled together a short in that timeframe, but nothing quite like this.
Truly great work mgalvan.
The shots in the Pub with Tony Pants looked awesome. The light and atmosphere was caught perfectly.
haha, the "snip snipsa" line was great. I got a good chuckle out of it.

Keep it up!

It was really awesome and the acting was good and not overdone. The main character seemed really sincere which made you have some sort of pity for him which added to the whole thing. Everyone else was also great, totally awesome stuff. I wanna see more of what you have done, its very entertaining
