Anyone here used the "Sony VCL-HG0872 72mm 0.8x High Grade Wide Angle Converter Lens" on the Z1?

Any comments on quality, etc. Also, can you say how much of a % wider my Z1 view would become with one of these?

Thanks in advance!

I have seen them. Honestly, not quite to the spec's of the WA Converter's from Century Optics but not a bad unit.

You are only getting about 20% wider. There are two units from Century. The .7WA converter is a full zoom through unit which is about 30% wider and the .6WA adapter that is only partial zoom through but is closer to 40% wider.

Hope that helps....

I own it and use it regularly on my Z1U and DVX100a. Very satisfied and I believe as good as the .6 non-zoom through the I have from Century. Problem with both is I wish that there were external threads and a screw on protection filter. I think that you will be satisfied if your purchase it.
