we've all seen the anton-bauer mount displayed by now, but nowhere any info on that....

Could the A/B adapter for the DV300 be usable (with slight modification)?

There's an IDX mount but but also any info. I need a camera light and the HD100 has no power connector for it... anton bauer has an option to connect it directly to the battery, but these power systems are too expensive when you need at least 3 batteries.

Is there anyother brand with a wide-angle adaptor for the fujinon lens? Will the tripod mount be usefull?

Thank you for your post, those globalmediapro betteries aren't expensive... the problem is that they are located in US. Maybe I'll ask someone to bring it. Anyway, I have to find about the batteries mount...

No, they are located in the UK, but they send without any problem, I guess

Witch tripod is more suitable for the HD100? I'm thinking about a Manfrotto 503/525 that has a good quality for a low price. Does anybody have an opinion about this?

If you want to have a good price: perhaps something secondhand? I have a Libec H30 + T33, here (which is for sale by the way :-) ).

Thanks, but I already got mine, now I just need the camera... anyway you'd have to send it to Portugal and the shipping costs are really high.

Finnaly some pics of Anton Bauer battery mount on JVCs website. But no reference to it... not even on AB site. Is it the same that can be used on DV300? BN-V438U batteries are the same for both cameras...

Indeed, finally some pictures... of the A/B-adapter! the 12V out would be very usefull too for wireles mic receiver, because, the standard version doesn't support the power out, I guess...

mmm, I'm from Belgium. I'll have to think about the price. If you can do me a fine offer, I guess we can make a deal... (by the way, I'm planning a trip to somewhere close to londen, in a week or two...)

Well, some info on the V-mount adapter plate for the HD100 yet? :embarasse I'm expecting to get my camcorder soon, but I can't see where to buy the V-mount...

... well I found out the IDX-adapter is the IDX-100-E (package that consists of adapter plate 2 batteries and charger). Should be around €1500 ....

The plate itself seems to be the IDX A-E2HD100 ... can't seem to find any pricing on that....

Only sold by JVC apparently, not by IDX for now....

availability is a complete question

In an exclusive collaboration between JVC and Anton/Bauer, the GY-HD100 was specifically designed for a RealTime interface with Anton/Bauer batteries so that it would display the remaining runtime in the viewfinder.

The unique programming of RealTime automatically detects the camera load and calculates runtime based on the existing operating conditions, a distinct advantage for any professional.

The ergonomics of using this camcorder with Gold Mount batteries are more relevant than ever, considering the GY-HD100’s use of full size bayonet mount lenses. The QR-JVC 7/14 HDV provides the ability to utilize Anton/Bauer’s entire range of batteries to properly balance the camcorder and power it for the most extended periods of time.

In addition, the QR-JVC 7/14 HDV includes a PowerTap, convenient for powering camera mounted fill lights, such as the Ultralight 2, wireless receivers, video hard disk recorders and/or other accessories.

The US MSRP is $195.00

Just got the price of the IDX adapter: €285, VAT exclusive. So that'll be 360, VAT incl., which is roughly $520 !

Well, that's the price here in Europe. Ken Freed said (on another board), you could get the IDX-adapter + 1 battery for $349. Man, you guys are cheap off I guess....

EVS is showing the Anton Bauer bracket QR-JVC 7/14 HDV and listing it for $164.95 but they aren't in stock yet. I was told they're expecting them in any time. www.evsonline.com

The A/B sure seems a lot cheaper...

No word on the IDX-plate there (and that's the batteries and charger I have :-(...)

I've been thinking about going with IDX V-Mount or Anton Bauer Gold mount for a couple of days. I like V-mount, and I'm used to using them on Sony and Panasonic cameras, but there may be a huge delay getting the IDX V-mount adapter in Canada (that seems to be a JVC US/IDX deal,) so I've decided to get the AB Gold Mount Bracket with Swit Batteries.

http://www.swit-battery.com/new/english/productdetail.asp?ProductID=200492133432

The QR-JVC7/14HD mount from Anton is $305 CDN.
SC-304A Dual Charger is $390 CDN.
S-8080A 88WH 14.4V Battery $265 CDN each.

My dealer has been using/renting/selling Swit batteries (as well as Anton Bauer) for a couple of years and he says the Swits are just as good. Chinese made, lots of dealers in North America/Europe, 2/3 of the price of Anton Bauer.

I thought they're in the UK...

I don't think they have other resellers, but with the prices they offer, you might be able to ship it.

You should pay attention to another thing - as this may be ore or less inportant to you - All battery-packs they make are somewhat larger than the original ones. Small price to pay, but it might just look a little less 'sexy' on the small HD100... Just a (cosmetic) thought...

You told me about them before, I checked and they have a great offer. However I couldn't find the v-mount.

By the way, received today a mail from JVC Europe saying that the supply situation for GY-HD101E is very difficult with many more backorders in Europe than they are able to fulfill immediately. Also, the Portuguese dealer called me 5 minutes ago inviting me for a demo tomorrow, I think I won't sleep tonight... I'm really anxious!

Thanks mezelf, I'll propably order some batteries from them. They also have an office in London.

I thought something like that. I ordered mine almost 2 months ago and still no word on it... I'm getting somewhat inpatient...
