I'm just trying to figure out why are the 20mm nikon vintage lenses so hard to get. I have a canon 7d and I'm in need of this lense and every time I go on ebay they go fast.

Perhaps you should get proactive. Find some Nikon user forums and ask for instance.

Because on a fullframe 35mm film stills camera (the cameras that vintage Nikkors were made for) a 20mm lens is an ultra-wide FOV, and hence not a commonly used focal length. There simply wasn't much demand for them, so not many were made and they are now relatively rare. They have a much more useful FOV when used with the newer crop sensor cameras, and are now more popular than they used to be. Rarity + popularity = hot item in the used market.
