I have captured via vegas 6 footage that was shot with an anamorphic adapter.
What i want to do now is to import that footage into AE6.5, correct it and export it back out into Vegas where i will do my arranging and my final export to DVD.
I have tried various ways to export from AE but never is it anywhere close to the frame size and aspect ratio of the original footage i captured with Vegas...(after exporting out of AE footage does not look as wide (it really cuts the sides of my shot)... Anyone know a tutorial of how i can be in and out of AE?

AE doesn't set the comp size and info to match your clips unfortuantely.
Select a clip in the bin and write down the info. (size, aspect, etc)
Create your composite using those same exact settings. (or set composite settings if you already have it set up)

This is what i did
Open AE, import file, "interpret footage" "guess 24pa pulldown" "pixel aspect ratio 1.2"
"Separate fields - lower field first"
Then i opened new composition "pixel aspect ratio 1.2" i checked "lock aspect ratio to 3:2"...
Changed from 29.97 to 23.97...
Dragged footage to timeline, color corrected and added to render queue...
Rendered at "best settings" with a "lossless" codec...

Anyway my final footage came out to be at 23 frames a second. Is this the best way to do this? Or perhaps i should have left the pulldown option alone and let Vegas deal with it...

Not sure how Vegas captures and exports. If Vegas removed pulldown then it might already be at 23.976
If you're doing effects it's best to use clean frames (non-interlaced images)
So is the frame size itself correct?

Vegas captures 29.97fps that means my original files have additional frames... I removed them in AE by "guessing 24pa pulldown" Frame size is different comparing to what vegas captured but i think that is because of pixel aspect ratio... Anyway after i export out of AE it looks different in WMP but inside Vegas it looks just like everything else... I just want to know if this is the best way to do it... The whole pulldown thing in AE is making me doubt i am doing this properly...

AE should be doing the pulldown removal correctly. Just make sure to set fps to 23.976

Scott, thanks man!
I can now cleanly perform a transfer from AE to Vegas! woo
