hehe... well, its this guy that makes these trippy windmills. There is a legend that his daughter crashed into a tree on prom night, and these were built as a memorial. But it is just legend... i think.... :o

I like the saturation in that last one. Toight - toight like a tiger...

I think the DVX does much better with lower light levels than people give it credit for. I dig the grain too - reminds me of my days shooting 16...

I like the last one too. It's amazing what the dvx can do for a rusty old shed and pile of wood.

Hmm, sounds like the makings of a movie. You might think about putting together a short based on this "legend". ;)

I was thinking about that actually, as I was there. They guy that made them, doesn't like visitors very much. He's been known to shoot at people that cross into his property. I stayed on the outskirts of the fence. THe motion and creaky sounds are very neat. I will start compiling them tonite.

Neat stuff greeches...Now I know why it's called acid park, I saw the way that little bird left trails in the sky. Funny to think this guy would build all this stuff, then shoot at people who come to look. Go figure.

yea. I think he mainly shoots buckshot and only at "pesky kids" trying to cause trouble. I think if you stay off of his dirt road, you'll be fine. :)

lol oh boy. I have been to acid park a few times with my friends. Not since highschool though, and only at night. :)

if you have not been there at night then you havent seen it for what it is yet. try it.

as for the legend. I dont guess it is still there since there is no shot of it, but the vw bug used to be there wrapped around a tree. and it didn't look like anybody could have survived the crash. spooky.

but go at night and keep your headlights on...... :)

i just read all of the post and i saw that you didnt go down the dirt road!!!!! thats where the bug is and a few other goodies.

i was one of those pesky kids i suppose..lol

he never shot at us though.

isnt nc great....we got acid park, the devils stomping ground and about three miles from me there is a house that looks as if freddy krueger grew up there.

oh btw... the second and third grabs are noice.

thanks! Yea in HS we used to venture down the road a bit. I had forgotten where the bug was. In the montage you can hear how fast the cars were passing by behind me! going like 65MPH!! scaaaary...
