I've got a new page with screen shots. Take a looksee and let me know what yahll think.

Also see an old rough teaser trailer assembled from scenes shot thus far in my production (i know it doesn't give as much info as most, but ignore that. I'm still in production).

E-mail me at wdb2@mac.com or post here! thanks

Most of this looks like it was shot using available light. Am I assuming correctly? As a result, some of the shots look uneven and a little dark but it looks like an interesting project.

nice photostills...trailer does look rough...would love to see a refined trailer.

i had the same problem with people saying the trailers don't give as much information when i poster my teaser trailers up while still in production. you can check out the teasers from our film at www.unkreative.com

Hey thanks for some feedback. Maybe I'll get more? :D ...

Yeah, it was all shot using ambient light and most of the images are straight off the camera with a generic magic bullet filter (various diffusers usually) thrown on, but once the editing goes further, many of the minor inconsistencies should be able to be smoothed out. I hope I haven't been going too low on exposure... what do YOU think?
Thanks.

looks cool, did you have a small or big crew working on this project? I want to check the rest of it when you have it.

i think too dark or too light can be subjective...i personally like most of these shots, especially from the airplane interior. in contrast, there is one shot artificially lit with some pictures on the wall behind. it stands out like a sore thumb in comparison to the others. and the framing has too much headroom for my taste on that one as well. looks good to me otherwise.

Definitely got me interested which is good for a quick teaser. I don't completely get the jist of the story but it makes me want to know more - so if that was the objective well done.

A larger size clip would be nice. Bigger for high speed folks is always cool if it's an option for you. * (I always like bigger and better quality clips so don't mind me )

Keep us posted on your progress... :)

Looks like you have some great locations. Then again it's hard to go wrong in Seattle. Beautiful place! All the shots look really nice. But I agree with the natural light comment. Some shots look very muted and others are bursting with color. and fruit flavor.

Good luck with the feature film. It looks great!

Thanks for the feedback.

Large Crew? That just made my week, man...

The crew is me - writer/director/videographer/editor/producer/casting director...

and

my little bro - boom.

As far as the ambient light/some images looking vibrant and others muted, a lot of that is a result of using magic bullet filters (i think). Basically, if it looks bright, crisp and clear with more detail, I probably didn't use a filter (but I have been using an anamorphic adapter). If it is soft, muted and purdy with less detail I probably used some kind of diffusion filter in Magic Bullet.

Often I find that using a diffusion filer whether white or black will make the blacks not so black and the whites a little muddy.

Maybe somebody out there knows how to do a white diffusion or black diffusion (standard or that maxed out 5 one) filter with magic bullet whilst maintaining black blacks and snappy whites?

With so many ways to go in post-production as far as the 'look', I just don't know which way to go sometimes. Maybe I should use the images straight from the camera? I wanna hear suggestions.

Let me know. You guys are great.
