Hey guys, I could use some help on this strange problem, this has never happened to me before and I’m almost ripping my hair out by now.
Basically I’m editing a project in Premiere Pro 1.5 and I’ve exported a clip to After Effects to do a little touch up work, I exported the clip as a Microsoft DV AVI with Lower Fields rendering.
Now in After Effects 6.5 I add my effects etc, export it back to Premiere as AVI with DV/DVCPRO – NTSC compression with 29.97 frame rate ofcourse.
Now when I play the clip in Premiere it’s choppy, and not consitently choppy, every time I play the clip it will skip at different moments, sometimes it may play smooth all the way through but its mostly choppy, theirs no red line indicator that says rendering is required, it just skips on its own will.
This is maddening and has never happened to me before, I have no idea what to do, I also tried exporting from After Effects with an uncompressed AVI and rendering it in Premiere but it’s still choppy. The clip is only 5 seconds long.
Has anyone had this problem or know what may be causing this, it’s maddening and I have a dead line. Please help if you guys got time.
I aslo posted this thread in the After Effects section becasue this can possibly be a problem with one of both programs.
