hey guys.
I have just purchased a sony HDR-FX1 here in Australia. I'm looking at shooting a short film to enter it in a film comp called (300 seconds).
my Theme is the 80's. old school.
What do i need to set my camera at to get this look? or does this work need to be done when editing, is there a setting on the camera that can make it look old school???

Any info would be great.
Thanks. Kezza

hard lighting and a bluish tint seem eightees to me, combined with low resolution images from tube cameras.... also, this probably goes without saying, but what happens in front of the camera is equally/if not more important than what happens with the camera. hope this helps.

use lighting with an orange gel. white balance on a blue card instead of a white card.
crank the color phase towards red and away from green, it's usually a slider tho I don't have a Sony.
