Asking me if I did anything in post is like asking ILM if they have a computer. I shoot TRUE in camera and then destroy it in post.

These are not final images. *Just grabs from dailies and mussed up in post. * The first and fourth one are very close to what I had in mind though. * The gun one is grainy; ouch. *I'll make sure the final image isn't that jacked up.
I'll try and get something up tomorrow. *This is a kind of 'short/test/concept' shoot. *Not final; not official; but some fun. *We have some B and insert still to do and some other shots but might have to wait a 3 weeks (might not though; still working that out; someones travel itenerary) sp?
It was fun; great group to work with (musicians no less); hard working; fun. *Zombie (Skip) rips on guitar and is a band in L.A. *I'll run down typical post pattern tomorrow; I'm tired; going to bed. *Rained ALLLL DAAAYYYYY on us. *Hampered our shots and schedule.

excellent...cafe.
ah, so many threads...such little time!
antomic
01-09-2005, 02:45 AM
dag yo! that thread took off in a week! 10 friggin pages! cant wait to see the footage! there's a lot of buzz surrounding this. i would love to create a small corner of this world here in LA. i'm diggin the whole 2nd vampy type comin out of this too. maybe that could be my contribution. but riddle me this...what if we can only contribute one episode? will there be fan backlash? will characters make appearances in other peoples stories? should i be posting this in the cafe? should i shut up now? should i hit "post" or "reset"?

John,
we're all partying, playing music and discussing the days shoot--everyone wanted to make sure to tell you how much fun they had filming; you can't possibly imagine what a hit these grabs are with everyone! I Can't wait for the next shoot!

I'll try and get something up today; thanks for the input guys. The scope is going to get bigger; nothing vooler than the undead; cept maybe the indy 500 (name that film that line is from and and get a cookie)
AntOmic
Vamp creature is cool; must keep them feral like animals and not the 'classic' dracula kind. One or 20 episodes is cool

how cool would it be for members producing these in certain regions (like the few of us in LA for example) to cross-over actors and storylines. so the styles would be different, and the writers and directors would be different, but the characters can continue through the series even if the filmmakers need to bow out due to schedules.
like if arcburn invented a character, and then that actor would make an appearance in my episode.

I like that; I like the idea of a world the audience can relate and identify with; we should shoot to get this on the Horror Channel I think

and who knows...if this really takes off, and gets a huge following, get that LA (or wherever) character to make appearances in Canadian or NY episodes. Like the hero character trompin around to lend a hand in postponing the end of the world as long as he can. dunno...just brain spillin'

Do you mean use the same actors or different actors for the same characters in different episodes?
antomic
01-09-2005, 05:09 PM
well, i guess you could use different actors as the same character. that could be fun, like michael keaton/val kilmer as batman. but more specifically, i was saying, if this thing takes off, we actually get some of the more popular character's actual actor's flying to different areas to make special appearances when the occasion arises. not every episode naturally. only when time and (budget?) allows.
you know, like "This week, on a very special Undead Nation..."
Slimothy

Okay. Yea, I think that would be better. To have the same actor to play the same character. That way it will be more true to the audience.
