DXV 16x9 squeezed out help

We shot our movie in 16x9 squeezed mode.... imported into FCP for edit on 4x3 timelines...
Now we want to export a true 16x9 mov file -
What is the best way to do this????

Why did you edit on a 4:3 timeline?

This'll be a question for FCP people, because I don't know for sure if you can export as 16:9 from a 4:3 timeline from FCP and have it come out correctly. You might have to redo it on a 16:9 timeline.
