Funny. An application has already been entered to take the supreme court judge's home for a hotel.

My most heartfelt prayers are with Mr. Clements in his endeavors for his hotel.

I hope this is for real and not a joke. How does the medicine taste, Your Honor?

I wonder if I can file an application to get the Bush family property down the road in Boca Grande? It sure would make a nice beach resort, and Charlotte County has already used Eminent Domain to steal property from homeowners for development. Big problem will be getting close enough to look at it, what with Secret Service and all...

Yeah, baby! Even CBC Radio, the guardian of big government, had a story about this last night.

What's interesting about this is that it's been decried from both right and left. That's just adding to my conviction that marking people liberal or conservative is outdated - it's just the oppressors and the oppressed. To a different degree at different times and places. And no, it has nothing to do with class struggle or other such crap.

In an unrelated story, I read that the last communist president of Czechoslovakia had a priest called to his deathbed. Now, for those of you who lived in a submarine between 1948 and 1989, or were born after 1980, you should know that ALL communists were supposed to be atheists. So why the priest?

'CAUSE:

The rulers of this world will gladly say one thing and do quite the opposite. That confuses and divides the masses sufficiently so they start fighting their own little petty wars - the catholics vs. the protestants , the Christians against the Muslims, the Muslims against the Jews, the Muslims against the Muslims, the conservative atheists against the liberal atheists, the right against the left, the PC propeller heads against the Mac artistes, ... hooray! Let's beat the crap of our neighbors! I think that guy's hair is too long... is that a Sony? Whack!

Divide and conquer - that's what's all about. Welcome to 1983. Wait for next year - whenever that will be - the fun will begin.

Take what you have for granted, just for a moment, and you can count on losing it. Americans have taken their property rights for granted (it's protected by the constitution, we can sleep well, right? - wrong!) - this is what they get.

Why am I ranting again? Is this some kind of political forum? Sorry...

Very well said XCheck. Along with confusing and dividing the masses, lets not forget numbing them into oblivion with TV, "Entertainment Tonight," popular music, etc. I mentioned the recent supreme court ruling to several different friends over the last few days and almost all of them had never heard anything about it. We are all so "busy" with nothing, that we don't even know whats going on. And we STILL have the moron reminding us that the reason we are in Iraq is because of 9/11. And we all put up with it year after year while we scratch and claw for the next new gadget to make our lives complete. Keep ranting XCheck... someone has to.
