Hi,

I am looking into getting an editing software. I plan on maybe helping people out with synching audio to video clips. I was just wondering if I do work on a short in Premiere, is there any way that a person using FCP can take my work and polish it up?

I was reading something about Automatic Duck and EDLs.

Can anyone shed any light on how NLEs can work together or if one is better at working with others? Really don't want to buy 2 NLEs.

Thanks.

Sort of. You can pretty much only do basic cuts, but syncing should work as long as the elements are identical and the file structures are identical on both systems. I was going to go into detail about how these things work, but I think you'll have a better time exporting a decision list and finding a friend with FCP so you see it for yourself.
