Starting a project in Premiere CS5.5 and the sequence presets has either 108024p or 108024p anamorphic. I can't find any settings on the AC-130 for anamorphic. What exactly would that 'anamorphic' preset be used for?

It's for those cameras that might record 1440x1080 and unsqueeze it to 1920x1080. I don't know of any cameras that do that in 24p, but if you were to use the HE mode on the AC130 you would find that it recorded 1440x1080 and would need to be unsqueezed by the editing program.
So don't worry about it, use the normal 1080/24p setting.
