Hello.I have a panasonic ag-ac130.Yesterday i wrote an event and sometime camera closed from battery, when recording. After this i changed battery, open camera and continue recording. The problem is that all the files i recorded after i changed battery are not in the sd card :( it seems that it doesnt record anything but i am sure that i pressed record button and i saw that i record. The card is sandisk extreme 32gb
I allready tried the panasonic software for recovering files and it find some files that i had record before a week (and i deleted from sd) and not the files i recorded yesterday after i changed battery. Is there something that i can do to recover my files?
Thank you very much for your time

Do you have 2 cards inserted? Maybe you're recording to the second card? Turn the camera on and look for the amber light - that's where you're recording.

Hi Chris

If the battery in fact died and you had to change it then that would mean that the camera was not able to finalise writing to the card and the clip would either be corrupt or missing....A long time ago I was filming a house and inside one bedroom I finished recording and hit pause (this was an HMC70) and the camera just froze...eventually I had to pull the battery to stop it and when I re-inserted the card and looked at the clips the last one I had just filmed wasn't there at all and also AVCCAM restore couldn't find it either...it must be the way the file writing system works...I have an idea that the data is written as you record, to a temporary location and when you pause, the firmware then only takes the data and creates a physical file clip. From those days onwards I always used to stop before the battery got too low!!!

What you can do is turn write protect on and then transfer the complete card folder structure onto your computer and play with it and see if the file might be there in some form???? If the clip was really important, I would just keep the card to one side until you have fixed it.

Thank you for your answers.I had inserted one card when i recorded. Now the strange thing that i see today.I inserted another sd card and wrote some clips. Then i go to video mode to see them and except the files i wrote today i see many clip with a ? inside the icon and a message comes up which says "some clips need repairing.Play clips to be repaired.(irreperable clips will be deleted)." so i press play to one clip and then writes "now repairing data". The first clip that i pressed play it wrote for 3-4 seconds "now repairing data" and then the clip deleted from the list. The second clip that i pressed play it wrote for about 3.30 hours !!! "now repairing data" and then it deleted too. Is there any hope to save my files?
