I know that running 2 Hard Drives in raid stripe 0 will double the throughput, but what does that mean?
What problems could I run into if I just use a single hard drive drive with vegas?

i use just a single hard drive with vegas and have never had any problems. no crashes, no freezing, no nothing.

I worked that way for about 2 years without any problems.

I have two 250GB Western Digital drives Raid Striped together, but don't notice much more difference than when I was on one ... then again, I'm also currently forced to run my OS through that same striped drive, so I could be bottle necking the system & not realizing the massive potential of the Raid Striped drives.
Yeah, in hindsight probably no help, sorry.

Yeppers. The OS will be the bottleneck in that situation...especially if your pagefile is there, too.
Now, I've got my video on the RAID set...but it's probably not necessary...the throughput during rendering, etc., doesn't have to be all THAT high. I'd be better off with the pagefile there, since Windows is pretending it's memory.
