Keeping track of peoples progress in this fest, and surprised by the lack of numbers involved.

I submitted my idea over a week ago and haven't heard back yet whether I'm a go or not.

As for others, I'm guessing the complete lack of prize announcements hasn't helped inspire people to get off their ass. I bet that once a nice spread of prizes go up, you'll see the number of entries go up.

Hey, at this point I'm guaranteed to place in the Top 10. :)

I'm still in the writing process. I don't want to put up a thread unless I know I'm going to be able to be all in!

I need to see what my bank account looks like in the next couple of weeks before I can go much further on this. But it's not because we aren't thinking about it.

That's not cool. :(

I'm excited for this Fest and I know some other members are too, but we need some MODs to be excited and responsive.

I'm not putting this all on Jason (I know he's busy and he does more than most), but back in the day, the MODs were all over these Fests.

Having them participate and spread the word is important for these Fests to be successful, imho.

Whoa, let it be known that I wasn't complaining, I'm sure Jason is busy, I was just merely saying why I haven't thrown out a thread yet.

Loose lips sink . . .

Actuallly, someone once said things go better with a script, so we're still trying to hammer out something remotely feasible.

Did get some good test shots last weekend :), couple of new actors showing real promise.
Have some special effect "proof of concept" shots tomorrow.:Drogar-Mark-10(DBG)
Trying not to get the local constabulary tooo excited. :Drogar-Dolar(DBG):

Not sure what will pan out but having fun.

btw - prizes are nice, but it's really all about the glory.

I didn't say you were complaining and I agree, I'm sure Jason is busy. I truly appreciate that they are still running these fests.

But there is no doubt that the fests have less attendance and less "heat" then they did in the past. A past that was full of Mod participation. It would be great to get some of that back again!

I know most of the mods have projects on right now. Ive just come off a big one, still working but a little quieter than recent insanity.

Im in however!

Shawn, yep, Jason is usually very busy. If you want to throw it over to me I can get it sorted. Im a mod after all :P

Yeah, I want to make sure I'm able to finish before starting a thread.

I have a personal project that I'm in pre-production on, and up to July 1st is one of the busiest times at work. Once that passes, I can dive more into this. VERY excited about the final date change.

Well My teacher gave us a research paper last minute that is a large portion of our grade and since I want to graduate high school this year I've been working on that. I did brainstorm an idea with a friend though and hopefully after I throw some more detail in to it and make sure its war enough for the festival, I'll get started on it.

I have decided not to get everyone's hopes up announcing I will participate this time and then not be able to pull it off. If I can however you will see it in the threads Muahahahahaha. =)

August will be here before you know it! Don't let another fest go by without submitting an entry.

I've been sidelined by illness and my script has gone through so many externally forced changes I don't recognise it anymore. But I'm still determined to submit something no matter how rubbish. Erm hang on, not exactly a ringing endorsement...

In essentially the same situation, need to have surgery in the next month or so, not sure what to do...forcing myself to shoot something for this even if my script is horrible, simply because I need to force myself to start making films again - been way too long

I'm hoping to get a crew together by early July, until then its just write write write. I've watched far to many of these fests roll by. If I can manage all my other projects and travel for work I'm in! (I hope)

Also does anybody have a tank in northern Indiana I can borrow? Just thought I'd toss that out there.

Indiana? Howdy buddy!

No tanks but a lot of fun cars!

Oh cool just looked over to see you're my neighbor! Let me know if you need any help. I'm struggling to find people to be in front of the camera. I keep writing characters out so I can gain crew members back!

2 1/2 to 3 hours out depending on Kokomo and it's moody traffic lights. As much as I travel I consider that next door.

For me its simply a problem of the times. April-August. So I have to crunch finishing the film during the kids holidays. Logically the follow on is Sept-Jan, which means crunching the film over christmas. Then the next one crunches at easter. This is bad for anyone with kids, so I dont see how I'll be able to take part any more.

Much preferred the old schedule.

No excuse. Kids are the ultimate ha.. actors. Put 'em to work.

Put them in a dickensian bottle cleaning factory to finance your production. Give them associate producer credits to show you care.

Just hit up a potential deal with a local studio. Looks like I might be able to enter something.

Actors come and go but no progress on my film, not sure what I'm going to do because I really want to enter but I kinda need an entry to do that.

THAT would be great! Hope it works out for you (and us).

You can do it... there's like 9 days left to make a film...all the time in the world!
