I'm doing actors' demo reels and burning them to DVD with DVDA. I'd like to have a choice on the opening menu to have the viewer click on "resume" to take them to an image or something to show the client's resume. The actors' resumes are simple 8 1/2" by 11" one page things. Should I scan it in as a jpeg and then render that to an mpeg? I worry that it'll be too hard to read (too small) on a tv screen.
Any suggestions?

Thanks everyone.

retype it out using a menu system where the veiwer can page through it if need be, then you can strategically place headshots and such within each menu page. you can also include it as a printable computer file on the DVD and breifly mention how to access it off a pc based DVD rom at the end of the DVD menu version.

But if you decide to just scan them and put them on a timeline...scan to TIFF or BMP or something non-lossy. JPEG probably won't be as sharp/clear.

But iamloser's suggestion is better.

My recommendation...don't bother to put the full resume on the demo reel. Most actor's resumes change way too often to keep up (unless you see this as a recurring revenue stream...but probably not worth it in the long run).
